Some vs Any (anthony)

1,What is the difference between the 2 sentences?
“some” and “any” are similar in the meaning.
“some” means “a number of people or things, or an amount of something, when the exact number or amount is not stated.”(from The Longman Dictionary of Contemporary)
“any” means “the smallest amount or number.”(from The Longman Dictionary of Contemporary)

When I was junior high school student, It was difficult for me to study “the irregular verb”.
For example,the verb “make” changes (make-made-made) not (make-makeed-makeed).
And I didn’t like the words “lie” and “lay”.
“Lie” changes (lie-lay-lain) or (lie-lied-lied).
“Lay” changes (lay-laid laid).
It’s very misleading for me.

1. Former expresses experience of present perfect tense and the later is meaning of past tense.
2.I’ve heard the song of birds. I heard the song of birds yesterday.
3.前者は経験の意味を含む現在完了形であり、その経験そのものは過去のいつのことでもよい。よくever,never,before,oftenなどの副詞を伴う。後者は過去のある時点、すなわちlast weekにおける動作を表している。

“some” and “any”

“Some” is used in affirmative sentence. And “any” is used in negative sentence and question.
For example, “There are some strange animals in the zoo.” “Are there any strange animals…?”
When I explain the difference to my students, I can say,
“some” や”any” は不定の数や量をさし、日本語では訳されないことが多い。ただし、通例 “some” は肯定文、 ”any” は疑問文や否定文で使われる。

1) Some is used in the affirmative sentence. And any is used in  negative sentence and interrogative.
2) There’s some coffee in the pot.  /  Threre isn’t any coffee in the pot.
3) およその量を表し時に用いるが、肯定文のときはsome、否定文・疑問文のときはanyと使い分ける。この原則は他にもsomething/someone, anything/anyone のときにも適用される。

“ I’ve seen that film ”include means that I have experience to see that film before.However, ” I saw that film last week” means at one point of past.This sentence don’t means experience.

1. The defference between the two sentences is whether something that is written in the sentence is possible or not in actuality. The former is possible in actuality although it is uncertain, while the later have only a remote possibility. (Or we may be able to say it’s impossible positively. )

I think that the former is to mean an experience, the latter is to mean a fact.
-Can you think of other example which would show the difference?
I’ve played tennis . I played tennis with Mr.Hall yesterday.
-How could you explain the diffeerence ・・・?
前者は経験を表し、後者は事実を表している。また、後者はある時点のことを述べるときに用いられるので yesterday lastweekなどを使うことが多い。しかし、前者はあいまいな時間を表すことが多いので先ほど例に出した yesterday lastweekなどを使うことはない。
