前者は経験を表し、後者は事実を表している。また、後者はある時点のことを述べるときに用いられるので　yesterday lastweekなどを使うことが多い。しかし、前者はあいまいな時間を表すことが多いので先ほど例に出した　yesterday lastweekなどを使うことはない。
